What we say...
The new Claw range has rails on the sole to make it easier to slice through grass. The Nicklaus Claw rescue club performed better out of the rough but otherwise failed to shine.
2009 Review
The Nicklaus Claw Rescue Club is certainly one of the more original looking clubs on test but the straight face and offset didn’t win many admirers. However, it returned admirable stats, particularly distance, and Chris rated it more out of rough than he thought it would. And Roger thought its quality would pass for a more expensive club.

2010 Review:
The Claw took a bit of a battering in terms of looks with none of our testers taken with the deep face and sharp angles. However, in performance terms our testers rated this pretty highly. David was surprised at the performance out the rough for such a deep face while Chris was impressed at the powerful feel off the face. It was also one of the longest on test for
higher handicapper Mark.

Not the prettiest club in my bag but a definate keeper. The 29 degree loft throws the ball high from even the tightest lie and holds the green brilliantly. Out of the rough it cuts through nicely and doesnt twist like my cleveland hibore used to. My Suggestion is forget the looks and try it, I think you will be more than surprised.
