What we say...
In last year’s TG rescue club test we fell in love with MD’s Equaliser rescue club. That club comes with a bigger price tag, and is made from better-quality components.
The MD Golf Blackhawk is aimed more at the budget end of the market, and while it may not be quite as spectacular as the Equaliser, it is well worth a look if you have £40 burning a hole in your pocket.
Thanks to the golf club’s offset head, we had no difficulty getting shots airborne, irrespective of where balls were lying. Our test pro was not a fan of the busy head and dull feel, and he felt that this wasn’t quite as well balanced as some others in this test. As an overall package – bearing in mind the golf club costs less than £40 – we reckon the MD Golf Blackhawk is a solid proposition for the less serious golfer.
Easy to hit rescue clubs which replace difficult to hit long irons from the tee, fairway or rough.

I bought this hybrid from ebay recently and found it to be easy to use, fairly long and straight. It plays longer than a 5 iron as its got a longer shaft, closer to a 3 iron. Ive got a full set of MD golf superstrong ST fairway woods (3/5/7) and this compliments them well. Ideal for the player who doesn't like using longer irons.

Great club! I hit them long, straight and consistent, and all for only £40! I'm now using them instead of my 3 & 4 irons and have since then bought a driver, irons, fairway woods and putter from MD Golf. They are a great golf company!
