What we say...

The heavily rounded sole of the MacGregor NVG2 is an extremely versatile golf club and did an excellent job of cutting shots out of undesirable lies.

The narrow head design didn’t inspire confidence as others did, but we had no difficulty in consistently hitting better shots than we ever could with a long iron in our hands.

The deep face isn’t quite as effective from deep rough as others, yet the soft-tipped shaft put plenty of spin on shots, helping us to hit high, floating approaches. The MacGregor NVG2 is a modern-looking golf club that doesn’t feel powerful but loses no distance against its competitors, and the effective design does the job it is designed to do.

Well worth a look if you are not turned on by the bigger manufacturers’ rescue clubs.

No face welds, so the entire face is the sweet spot and every shot feels like you hit it dead-centre.

  • 5 out of 5 More consistent appraoch shots

Ditched my Mizuno 3 wood, 3 and 4 iron and replaced with 17 deg, 20deg and 23 deg NVG2 hybrids. Shots now straight and true with ever increasing regularity. Long par 3's no longer a problem. I now hit the 17deg further than my previous 3 wood so I tend to use on many short par fours and tight driving holes hitting significantly more fairways. Great for semi rough with no tendency to hook shots as I did with my previous clubs. Great clubs for reducing your handicap.

  • 5 out of 5 Replace 3 wood and 3 & 4 irons

Handicap dropped five shots since changing to these clubs. True flight and better distance compared to previous Mizuno 3 wood and 3&4 irons. Hitting NVG2 17' further and with more consistency than 3 wood. Great for getting out of bad lies in rough.
