Today’s Golfer Hybrid Test 2011

Tested: July 2011
Testing panel:
Chris Ryan (Belfry Pro)
Leon Iacono (HCP 4)
David Connor (HCP 10)
Ben Miles (HCP 17)

Leon said this club felt surprisingly good in his hands and he rated it quite highly, as did Dave and Ben. Dave liked the versatility in different situations but pro Chris wasn’t keen saying it didn’t feel solid or forgiving and wouldn’t inspire confidence. He noticed a big difference in feel between centre and off-centre strikes but in pure
performance terms this was one of his best on test. In fact, this performed pretty well across the board for everyone.

The Forgan Probrid Hybrid features an innovative new aerodynamic head shape to lower the center of gravity, which produces penetrating ball flight that gives players more control to hit a variety of shots from most lies. The new and improved head is made of stainless steel and the sole is designed to minimize turf drag at impact. It has been designed with slight offset to eliminate fade/slice.
