What we say...
The Tech:
A traditionally shaped hybrid profile with a 13g fixed weight low and deep in the head to create a high launching and forgiving hybrid. A “speed channel” around the perimeter of the face helps minimise the effect of miss hits. An adjustable hosel means you can tune loft and shot bias to suit your own game.
Our verdict:
We’ve seen more sole weight systems than we can shake a stick at TG, but on the F6 it shows beautifully how much of a role weight plays in performance. Looking at the data our ball speed retention was quite incredible with only 1.9 mph drop off between our best and worst strikes which has to say the 13g weight is maximising stability. Looking at carry distances this consistency translates to very accurate shot making with just 8.5 yards variance between centre and off-centre hits which is just what you need when hitting demanding approaches over bunkers or at tough par 3’s.
Bottom line:
A very solid hybrid that’s capable of competing against the strongest of competition. We like the ability to tune loft which for us is really useful when it comes to creating perfect yardage gaps at the top end of your bag.
