What we say...

Merging golf’s greatest powers of distance and forgiveness, Callaway has unveiled a confidence-inspiring ‘Super Hybrid’, capable of tackling the most demanding shots on the course.

In a bid to rescue those, who despite trying, just can’t fit a fairway wood, Callaway has created the Paradym Super Hybrid, promising the power of the best fairway woods with the versatility of the best hybrids.

Pros

  • Hybrid feel with the head power of a fairway wood
  • Confidence-inspiring profile
  • Highly adjustable to suit preferred ball flights
  • A unique balance of distance and forgiveness

Cons

  • Only currently available for US markets

Callaway’s research has shown how many mid and high-handicap golfers struggle with consistent contacts when trying to hit fairway woods. Their testing has shown how players are challenged with longer club lengths that contribute to more off-center strikes and topped balls.

The Paradym Super Hybrid has addressed this by shortening up the shaft, while crucially using the same advanced materials used in the construction of their most powerful drivers.

Power and confidence – that is the unique selling point on offer with this hybrid.

It’s safe to say that this Super Hybrid has not landed to rescue Paradym’s Poster-Pro and two-time Major winner John Rahm, but its services will certainly be welcomed by less confident ball-strikers, and competent club standard golfers alike.

Think narrow tee shots and lofted approaches into well-guarded greens, and you’ll be on the right lines for the high precision and power shots that this club has been made for.

Launched alongside Callaway’s Apex Pro ’24 Series irons and Apex UW ’24 clubs, the Paradym Super Hybrid is available to preorder from August 18 and hits stores on September 8.

Features, Tech, and Benefits

So, let’s rip off the cape and see what makes the Super Hybrid so ‘super’.

The Power of a Driver

Callaway has leveraged their driver-powered technology by installing the Super Hybrid with a lightweight yet robust, A.I-designed titanium face to create explosive speed and incredible distance.

Extreme Forgiveness

An all-titanium construction has permitted a large oversize profile, giving off the feel of a high-distance club, while remaining easy to launch. Tungsten MIM weighting around the rear keeps the MOI high to provide golfers with the forgiveness they would expect from a hybrid.

Penetrating Launch

With titanium being so light, Callaway has been able to strategically position the CG through an internally welded tungsten MIM weight, positioned low and forward, creating a unique recipe for trajectory and distance.

Complete Adjustability

The Paradym Super Hybrid has been kitted out with a lightweight OptiFit 3 hosel, providing complete adjustability so golfers can dial in the exact ball flight and launch characteristics they want to see.

What Callaway says about the Paradym Super Hybrid

‘Driver-Like Power. Hybrid Confidence’ is the message Callaway wants golfers to hear loud and clear about the Paradym Super Hybrid. Vice President of R&D, Brian Williams gave us some more background behind the brand’s latest hybrid offering.

On the project:

“The Super Hybrid franchise has been a lot of fun for the team in R&D. We’ve tried to make a hybrid package here for somebody who struggles to hit a fairway wood because of consistency.

We wanted something that still feels like a 3-wood or a distance club, one that’s going to be easy to launch and get up in the air.

We started out with a unique concept and had more success than we had imagined. We’ve created a very versatile, very consistent golf club.”

On the performance:

“The first thing that stands out is explosive speed – it’s a powerful club. We’re going to driver-like power here by using titanium and for players who have played any other hybrid, they’re going to feel immediately like the ball is just jumping off the face.

We have a shape that’s confidence-inspiring and one that is going to glide through the turf.

It’s about how we’ve used titanium and where we’ve placed wait around it for maximized ball speed with still a very forgiving type of shot shape that players who trust their hybrids are used to.”
