What we say...
Callaway’s new Apex 19 Hybrid has been engineered with their Jailbreak Technology for the first time, and in the right hands will out- perform narrower, more difficult to hit long irons.
Callaway’s Apex 19 Hybrid provides the benefits of a hybrid while maintaining the spin characteristics and controlled ball flight of a long iron for better players and Tour Pros. And it’s expertly crafted with beautiful shaping, a classic PVD finish, and premium components.

Callaway Apex 19 Hybrid Review: TG Verdict
It goes without saying if the Apex irons are positioned as a “players” model then the matching hybrid needs to perform in the hands of the same type of golfers. The thinking dictates the Apex has a narrow body, with a centre of gravity closer to the face which lowers spin and adds power, but also means a drop off in forgiveness.
This style of hybrid is more suited to golfers who hit hybrids like irons, hitting down into the turf rather than sweeping wider body models away like fairway woods. We were impressed by the simple, boxy head – there are no alignment aid or distracting graphics – which for decent players is often the look they’re after. In the right hands the Apex will out- perform narrower, more difficult to hit long irons.
Callaway Apex 19 Hybrid: Key Features
Controlled Ball Flight and Workability From Precision Shaping
The design appeals to better players and Tour Pros, and it transitions perfectly from
your irons. Apex 19 Hybrids provide a neutral bias for the controlled ball flight with
workability that better players want to see.
Fast Ball Speed From Jailbreak Technology
Two steel Jailbreak bars stiffen the body, placing more impact load on the face to promote fast ball speed and distance. The Forged Face Cup is made from Carpenter 455 Steel, and is designed for increased ball speed at every impact location.
Premium Craftsmanship and Components
A beautiful Apex shape with a classic dark PVD finish and premium components,
including a Temper Catalyst Shaft and Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360 Grip.
