What we say...

This was a stunning performance for the VX Proto, which managed to outperform its more expensive sibling – the VX Proto PVD – and impress our test team. It was a fivestar performer for Mark in both distance and dispersion while pro James said it ticked all the boxes for him in all situations. It wasn’t Chris’ cup of tea in his subjective ratings but it was up there for distance and dispersion. This goes to show that you don’t always have to spend top dollar to get top equipment.

The Benross VX Proto Hybrid won the 'value award' in Today's Golfer Hybrids test in issue 271. It also comes in four different lofts: 17°, 20°, 23°, 26°

The Benross Escape offers golfers of all abilities easier to hit alternatives to traditional long irons. A wide body construction means a low and deep centre of gravity helps the golfer power shots out of any lie.

A low-profile face exaggerates the centre of gravity positioning, enabling golfers to hit shots on a powerful rainbow-shaped flight. Simple efficient cosmetics mean the VX Proto sets up beautifully at address, making them perfect for replacing the long irons in any golfers set.

Steel head, graphite shaft, gents, RH. Lofts: 17, 20, 23, 26.
