Today’s Golfer Hybrid Test 2011

Tested: July 2011
Testing panel:
Chris Ryan (Belfry Pro)
Leon Iacono (HCP 4)
David Connor (HCP 10)
Ben Miles (HCP 17)

The initial impression of pro Chris was that this would deliver a very high ball flight because the shape of the head means you see a lot of loft at address. He said this would really help golfers who try to help the ball in the air and is perfect for attacking greens but not so good off the tee. Ben agreed with this and particularly liked the feel off the face. Dave said he found the club extremely forgiving, but didn’t like the way the leading edge sat so far in front of the hosel.

Distance: 3.5
Dispersion: 3.5
Looks: 3.4
Feel: 3.6
Forgiveness: 3.4
Fairway: 3.1

The Benross Quad Escape Hybrid features a generous head size to inspire confidence, a classic club head shape, wide body construction and four corner stability weighting to allow for maximum forgiveness and control, perfect for those tricky shots towards the green.

Benross Rescue Clubs User Reviews

  • 5 out of 5 Brilliant club, brilliant price

As a very keen junior golfer off a 14 handicap i was looking for a club that i could use for long par 4's and par 5's and this club is just right i can land it softly on the greens and play it from the rough easily. It is a vey versiyile club and at £70 it is a bargin compared to some of the other brands like taylormade/titleist etc who retail their rescues at £140+
