What we say...
Wilson Staff’s Infinite The Bean putter made it in to our top 10 MOI putters of 2018 in our biggest ever equipment test – Top Gear. Find out what our testers made of it below.
Wilson Staff Infinite The Bean Putter Review: You should know
A large flanged mallet with extra weight in both the head and grip to create a counter-balanced model. A double milled face ensures precision while parallel and perpendicular sight lines simplify alignment.
Wilson Staff Infinite The Bean Putter Review: We say
It could be argued the Bean is more mallet than MOI putter, but because it’s got a particularly big, wide head and benefits from a substantial amount of counter weighting we reckon it weighs in as a decent MOI stability option.
For 2018 the alignment lines have been paired back, which is a big step forward, as they’re no longer quite so busy. The face balanced Bean is well suited to straighter putting strokes and its heavy oversized grip, offers a decent amount of counter balancing. We reckon thanks to reasonable price tag it’s a decent introduction to MOI putters.
Do putter face grooves really make a difference?
Wilson Staff Infinite The Bean Putter Review: Verdict
The Bean’s head is cast, then the face CNC milled which is a very different construction to 100% milled putters in this test. But it doesn’t mean the Bean lacked feel or roll performance, as it didn’t. If you’re open minded regarding brand loyalty and factor in the £95 price tag the Bean is a very solid option, for reasonable money.
