Titleist Scotty Cameron Select GoLo Mallet Putter Review

  • At a glance

  • TG Rating 5 out of 5
  • Owner Rating Not yet rated
  • Pros

Like a work of art, super-soft feel, ability to change the weighting in the sole. Forgiveness and consistency.

  • Cons

Not the easiest to set square.

What we say...

The Tech:

A multi-material design which has a lightweight sole and face unit to remove ineffective weight. 15g weights in the toe and heel help improve MOI for extra stability which should equate to more putts holed.

Our verdict:

We hear lots from designers of drivers and irons on how their latest designs maximise forgiveness to improve your performance, but we don’t hear so much on the subject of forgiveness when it comes to putting. The Golo 5 has been designed by Scotty to be more efficient and its construction is a serious piece of engineering. It’s very much a different beast to Scotty’s blade putters but we all loved the head shape, single alignment line and how the full shaft of offset encourages you to get the hands ahead of the ball and stroke putts into the hole. We also really liked the solid positive feel off the face and how putts uncannily seemed to have great same distance control.

Bottom line:

A beautifully made putter. The chunky body is a true mallet shape and with the improved performance the aluminium face and sole produce its one of our favourites.
