Scotty Cameron is a recognised name on the world tours with numerous winners choosing a putter from this range, including Tiger Woods. The  Studio Design 5 is a smaller-headed mallet putter with a lovely oil can finish. The white sight lines are quite unusual – one runs the length of the top edge of the putter. This ‘T’ design makes it very easy to align the blade squarely to the hole.

We loved the responsive feel off the carbon steel, but generally thought it would be best to use on fast greens by a reasonable golfer. The putter is perfectly  adequate but does not bring anything new to the putter market. If you are a traditionalist you will love it, as this putter is a very original, neutral shape and design.

Verdict: A very good quality putter that will appeal more to the discerning golfer who will appreciate its quality and simple design. It is expensive but  you are getting a quality product from one of the best brands of putter.
