Pros
One of the smaller counter-balanced options out there. Very stable with an improved crown design.

Cons
Too much control over the stroke?
What we say...
Technology
The updated version takes stability up a level via tungsten heel and toe weights that increase MOI. All three head shapes are also counterbalanced, with a longer, heavier grip, a heavier head and a PureRoll Surlyn insert.
Looks
More subtle than original Spider Blade, which I like. For me there was too much going on before with the thin white lines on the crown. In the new model, the black sections which were on the back are now on the front and vice versa. Overall it’s much cleaner, without hindering alignment.
Feel/sound
Heavy, but well balanced, it’s tricky not to improve your tempo. The sound at impact is a soft, high-pitched ‘click’ that rolls the ball consistently well.
Forgiveness
For a ‘blade’ putter it’s extremely stable. The MOI is high, partly due to the construction but also because of its length from heel to toe. This makes the face insert long too; you’ve got to make a very bad stroke to feel any negative effects.
Performance
I’m still not sold on the counterbalanced concept; I feel like the putter has too much control over the stroke. The thicker grip feels perfectly natural in my hands and enhances feel. It’s got mid toe-hang so transitioning from a traditional blade to this won’t feel too alien but the heavier overall feel will take some getting used to initially. But for those seeking forgiveness, stability and guidance in a non-mallet head shape, this is a great option.
