2011 Review

TaylorMade continue to excel in every department of hardware – woods, irons, wedges, balls and now putters. The fabulous new Raylor Daytona Ghost is another welcome addition. The white head is distinctive enough, but the other impressive thing is the new Rail positioned behind the face. This helps you to line the putter up better, and George felt the “slightly extended rear” of the head really did make a difference. A maximum from five feet and two holed from 25 feet suggest it did!

Chris wasn’t super-keen on what he called the slightly angular looks of the head, but couldn’t fault it in any other way. Pro Alex felt this would be a great product for those who wanted a very easy-to-use putter, while Jon noted impressive levels of feel. These new putters are going to do well on Tour too, so watch out for them.
