What we say...

The Tech:

The Spider’s oversized head increases stability, helping keep more putts online which means you should successfully hole out more often.  Deep vertical milling on the insert means the face grips putts better improving roll and feel.

Our verdict:

You won’t find too many putters on the market that are wider at the back of the head than they are at the face. But if you’re looking to create an MOI monster its exactly what’s required to max out stability. Plenty of golfers will say the Spider is too big, its ugly and they couldn’t putt with something that looks like this. We say that’s fine…just move along and carry on struggling to hole out with a fancy blade putter! For those who want all the help they can get their hands on the Spider is absolutely superb. The long SuperStroke grip gives plenty of options for how you want to hold the putter and you can’t fail to notice the amount of stability the design brings to even the wonkiest of putting strokes.

Bottom line:

If ultimate stability is what you’re after you’d be doing yourself a disservice to not at least have a look at the new Spider. There will be plenty of haters out there but just watch their faces when you start holing out like a tour pro with one of these wands in your bag.
