TaylorMade Kia Ma Daytona Blade Putter Review

The TaylorMade Kia Ma Daytona putter was one of the favourite putters across the whole test. It oozed wow factor and was backed up with some cracking stats. Finished in an ultra cool midnight black, this was a big hit all round.

Pete loved its “brilliant feel and balance” and the sophisticated look, while Chris C gave it full marks across the board. Only Chris N stopped it challenging the Ping Anser for the Best on Test title as he found it really solid on the six footers but found it a little harder to use effectively over longer putts. Everyone else loved it though.

2010 Review:

The Daytona is 100% milled from 304 stainless steel and features a Titallium insert and AGSI+ technology to help promote a better roll by negating backspin. You can also change the weights in the putter head, but the one that TaylorMade kindly supplied for the test more than suited our team. Chris thought the slightly heavier feel added a bit of forgiveness and he was also a big fan of the sound.

Jon’s stats over both distances suggested that the wand suited him. He nailed four short putts and managed to get all five 25-footers inside three feet. Mike was also a big fan of the Daytona, saying it sounded solid and the nice head balance helped him convert both short and longer putts. Kia Ma is highly-regarded amongst Tour players, and the latest stunning model is yet another example of a master at work. A very close second to the overall winner.
