Pro's The alignment lines allow easier setup its very easy to see if your aiming wrong and this gives so much more confidence when stood over it, the head reduces twisting during the stroke and on strike as well. A major help for my stroke to stop me twisting the club head on the straight back and through, it feels like its locked onto you path. The new Pure Roll insert took a little while to get used to. The sound is a little more muted than previous putters and I was little short on longer putts. Giving owners the options of changing weights is a great way to customise your head weight to your own preferences. Con's Headcover turning mucky and looking a little grim now, and magnet that doesn't hold. The white finish is getting a little tired on the corners from our harsh sandy greens but still looks fine from above. Grit can get caught in the Pure Roll insert, not sure how they would fix that but it is a pain to have to keep cleaning the face so much over winter. Overall I bought this after having the previous Spider putter and needing something new (well actually needing something to spend some club shop vouchers on). So what happens when you paint the original spider white? Well even after just a brief play on the practise I said it gets better, and its been in my bag since that release day. Its not a magic wand and it does occasionally get the moody stare from me when it misbehaves, and that usually means I start looking at other putters, but I guess my golf bag must have a internet connection too because the spider usually performs great the weekend afterwards and so stays in the bag again. It's getting a little rough around the edges now, with no headcover to protect it against the knocks and scraps from the car boot, but it performs on its day and that's all you can hope for in a putter, otherwise it would just a nice ornament for the wall !
