What we say...
Ping’s latest innovation for custom-fit putting is terrific. The extra weight, thicker grip and the way it sits all contributed to instant confidence. Regardless of where the ball hit the face, the groove insert gave me plenty of forgiveness, better distance control and truer putts.
Ping's latest putters let you adjust the shaft length from 31 inches to 38 inches, optimising fitting for enhanced consistency. But the Scottsdale TR range isn’t just about getting the right length. Each of the 12 models has a new variable-depth groove insert – the grooves are deepest in the
middle of the face, and get shallower towards the perimeter.
Ping says this leads to more consistent ball speeds off the face, even when the ball is struck towards the heel or toe. By using Ping’s successful “Fit for Stroke” innovation, golfers with different stroke types are all well catered for.
For those players who employ a slight arc, there are five putter types; the Anser 2, B60, Shea, Tomcat S and Anser 2B (adjustable belly). For golfers with a Strong Arc, the ZB S and Shea H are offered, while the Piper C, Tatum and Carefree (adjustable long) are available for those who go straight back and through the ball. The Grayhawk and Senita models are available to all stroke types. There’s a black PVD finish and the putters will also be offered as standard, non-adjustable versions.
