Odyssey Protype 2-ball Mallet Putter Review

The 2-Ball is now over a decade old, but it’s still a firm favourite. James said it was very difficult to dislike any putter that helped golfers as much as this did, but Jon felt the feel was a little firmer than some others in this category.

The Pro Works team have gathered lots of information from Tour players and have been able to develop a putter that increases a better feel and stroke with a look that is pleasing to the eye of the golfer.

The club head is made from 1025 Carbon Steel which is a very similar material to Stainless steel. The 1025 Carbon Steel creates a softer feel and with a new milling pattern that is deeper and sharper. This increases the interaction between the ball and the face of the putter. This means that the Pro Works team have created an even better feel, a truer roll and consistency.

The club head has weight ports on the sole of the putter, which helps the golfer change the putter into one that is designed to their own unique putting style. Odyssey have created the Pro Type Tour 2 Ball Putter with a satin finish which gives the putter a modern take on a traditional look.
