Odyssey’s OWorks Jailbird Mini putter made it in to our top 10 MOI putters of 2018 in our biggest ever equipment test – Top Gear. Find out what our testers made of it below

Odyssey OWorks Jailbird Mini Putter Review:

You should know

The putter Branden Grace used to post the lowest round ever in a major, when he shot 62 at last years Open Championship. Much like Odyssey’s #7 fang putter but with the fangs joined at the back to further improve stability. An OWorks microhinge face insert lifts putts into a better roll, the double bend shaft and face balancing is well suited to straight back and through putting strokes.

Odyssey OWorks Jailbird Mini Putter Review: We say

Odyssey are masters at sticking with tour proven putter head shapes and updating them with whichever new technology they happen to come up with. If you’re not a fan of the wacky or fanged head shapes used to create high MOI designs, then the Jailbird Mini is an excellent option as it’s very “normal” to look at and use.

Our test pro loved the OWorks insert, reckoning it gave really consistent roll and very similar results even when putts weren’t hit perfectly. This model is also available in red and with a slant neck, which should be plenty enough options to tailor it to your eye and stroke.

Do putter face grooves really make a difference?

Odyssey OWorks Jailbird Mini Putter Review: Verdict

Very well balanced, simple, straightforward and honest. When it comes to MOI putters the Jailbird is the height of simplicity which is worth remembering if you’re particularly picky when it comes to sightlines and alignment aids on your favourite flat stick.
