What we say...
The Tech:
A soft 304 stainless steel head is combined with Nike’s RZN face insert to maximise feel and control. Each face groove is filled with more RZN to grab and grip the ball at impact to generate quicker forward roll.
Our verdict:
You’d think with a head shape very similar to a ton of other models on the market the Method would look and putt much like them. But thanks to where and how the hosel enters the head the B1-07 looks and performs very differently. The hosel design result is lots of toe hang which is better suited to “rotation” which means opening and closing the blade on an arcing path. The design doesn’t impact feel though which is superb thanks to the soft steel head and Nike RZN grooved insert, we also really liked the classically shaped rubber grip.
Bottom line:
We reckon the position the B1-07 sets up in is an acquired taste, which makes it difficult to recommend to the masses. But if you’re suited to a style of putting like Steve Striker (who’s an awesome putter) then feel, roll and overall look are very solid.
