2011 Review
The quality of the Method range ensures it’s still a big favourite on Tour and with our test team despite being around since 2009. After just a few putts, the testers were very confident with it and the consistent roll was clearly visible. The Method features a series of polymetal grooves on the face that helps to get the ball rolling with topspin – this means less skid and a more efficient roll.
Chris is not generally the biggest fan of Nike products, but he was massively impressed with the Method 005. He liked the feel and noted that it had felt more solid than the Core model. George was adamant that it was his number one putter on test. He holed everything from five feet, and also holed one (with two further near misses) over the longer distance. He also loved how confident he felt over the ball. Pro Alex loved the feel and the roll off the face, and was very successful over the distances. Jon also got on very well, citing its ease of use. He liked the unfussy design and the results were better than anything else in this category of the test.
It’s not the biggest mallet we tried, but if you want something with a touch more forgiveness, without sacrificing looks, this putter is clearly a class act.
