What we say...
Technology
The MP A-Series putters combine a lush black IP finish, with bevelled white top edge to make their classic shapes easier to align. The top edge marking, parallel to the face, creates a stronger alignment aid on compact head shapes, than can be achieved with a traditional ‘ball to target’ marking. Individually engineered masterpieces, the MP Series putters are designed to generate a solid but soft feel and purest of rolls. The MP Series are forged from mild carbon steel, then CNC milled to ensure exact alignment and a flawless profile at address. The CNC milling process allows the face thickness to be tuned for the perfect feel. A consistent roll is enabled through a further milling to process to apply simple score lines to the face. The MP A-Series also feature a new oversize Winn Grip to reduce hand action through impact.
Tested
As reviewed in our 2014 Putters Test: Beveled top edge and white paint fill forms a contrast between it and the black head, which should help with alignment optics – and it did. Overall a nicely thought-out putter with solid performance all round. A super looking putter with a high quality feel and finish. Liked the soft grip and black and white detailing, plus it has a genuine performance benefit.
As reviewed in our 2013 Putters Test: Liked the idea behind the bevelled white top edge, but it wouldn’t appeal to everyone. Would be better for left aimers who push the ball. Liked the look and finish, easy to align and got a good roll with decent touch, despite a slightly tinny sound.
