What we say...
Having seen some tour players wielding Dave Hicks putters in the past it was great to actually get hold of one to test. The head of the DH8 is quite narrow so is a little more difficult to align for less experienced players. The toe-and-heel weighted design is very simple and unfussy and sits very cleanly behind the ball.
The balata insert was exceptionally soft and would be well-suited to quick, summer greens. The putter comes with three different sets of weights for the back of the putter head. The whole range of DH putters are available custom-fitted. The club was immaculately manufactured and finished. The concept isn’t ground-breaking but if you’re a confident putter this could be a choice for quick greens. It gives lots of feedback.
A very well respected putter manufacturer with a good product, even if it only really appeals to the very best players at this price. The extra weights are included in the price.
