What we say...

Cleveland TFI 2135 Satin 8.0 CB Putter Review: You need to know

A counter balanced blade, available in 35” or 38” lengths. By lowering ball speeds from the centre of the face and raising them for off-centre hits, 2135 putters produce uniform distance control no matter where you strike putts. Cleveland say a new satin finish has 50% more contrast, and the sightline of the 8.0 blade is 21.35 millimeters off the ground to aid accurate alignment.

Cleveland 2135 Satin 8.0

Cleveland TFI 2135 Satin 8.0 CB Putter Review: We say

There aren’t too many stable blade options for golfers with seriously wonky putting strokes, but the 8.0 is definitely one. The head’s wider than Cleveland’s 1.0 with very slightly protruding toe and heel weights.

All in it adds up to a pretty forgiving blade design and because of the extra headweight and counter balancing it offers a realistic chance to iron out kinks in even the waviest of putting strokes. We particularly like the 35” length which seems much more manageable than some of the longer models on the market.

Do putter face grooves really make a difference?

Cleveland TFI 2135 Satin 8.0 CB Putter Review: Verdict

Perfect for golfers who like to putt with a straight back and through stroke, thanks to the face balancing. Heavier counter-balanced putters aren’t for everyone but we reckon for anyone who’s not given them a go before, the 8.0 is well worth trialling if you specifically want to smooth out your stroke and gain control over your path once and for all.
