What we say...
Variable weights allow you to tailor the Benross VMC SV2 putter to personal preference or different green speeds. The alignment system is something we’ve seen a lot before, and it is reliable. But at nearly £70 the VMC is up against stiff competition from ingenious, great-looking putters that cost less.
Performance-wise this is a solid golf club without being exceptional (apart from the superb Winn grip). Maybe this is more of a purchase for Benross fans, rather than a must-have piece of kit for those seeking superb value for money.
The Benross VMC SV2 putter is designed to maximise the moment of inertia.

Had this putter for a few years now and expect that they are few and far between to buy now. A friend of mine said that if you are a good putter, you can put with a piece of angle iron. Never tried that out but I feel it is true. Paid £35 for my VMC as I liked the look, but had never practiced with it. Not the right way to go about buying a putter but have not been too disapointed. On quick greens I putt very well with this putter but slow greens you have to push too much and I get too many three puts. I use a heavier Calaway copy for that which I only paid £7 pounds for; called a "Gallery".(more like the angle iron!!) I've tried Ping and Yes putters and they are very good as well but when I actually counted my putts I was getting av 32 putts a round with the Yes and VMC and 35 with the Ping. I didn't particularly like the look of the Ping and that I believe plays a big part in choice of Putter. If you play on quickish greens and are a reasonable putter then the VMC is worth a look. Slow greens no. If you are taking more than 40 putts a round I'd look more at technique than a new putter as the one you have got may do the job. Too many people buy a Ping,Yes,Odessey and think the job is done. Confidence builds more made putts not money spent and you can't buy that!!

First time I have plumped for a centre shaft putter and although it looked and felt slightly wrong at first, the short putts kept dropping and I am now very comfortable with it. Not had too much time to play with the VMC but the putter is a lovely weight and balanced well with a soft contact, at £40 I am delighted and looking forward to the summer

I bought a VMC SV2 from my club pro one evening when I forgot my putter. In a rush to meet my tee time I did not check it out, but on the course I discovered the head does not seem correctly aligned, and I cannot remove one of the variable weights, which seems to be cross-threaded. Obvious quality issue with this one, and will be returned when I can catch up with my pro, who inadvertently forgot to give me a receipt when I paid cash.
