Benross Tribe MDA2 Putter Review: You Should Know

A classic toe and heel weighted model, cast from soft 304 stainless steel to ensure great feel and feedback. A milled face ensures precision and consistency. A black PVD finish eliminates glare and an oversized Lamkin grip fits snugly into the hands.

Benross Tribe MDA2 Putter Review: Our verdict

You get what you pay for is an age old saying that’s spouted all to often when something goes wrong with a sub-standard purchase. Yes the MDA2 is no thrills, no spills but it certainly doesn’t look or feel like the cheapest blade putter on test. A black pvd finish is an expensive addition to any club and there’s a CNC Milled face and huge Lamkin Sink grip which won’t be doing anything for Benross’s profit margin. All in our testers holed more than their fair share with the MDA2 so we’ve got to say the investment in cosmetics and “contact points” has paid off for what could very easily have been just another toe and heel weighted blade.

Do putter face grooves really make a difference?

Benross Tribe MDA2 Putter Review: Bottom line

By no means our favourite blade putter for 2018, but bearing in mind the cost it’s got to be said the Benross represents excellent value for money. It’s really simple, very capable of rolling putts across a green and it won’t draw too much attention from the wife on the credit card statement.
