What we say...

Fat shaft technology has made a comeback. The theory is that club heads have grown in size, but the club shafts that support them haven’t. Initial testing was very good.

Deep cavity backs usually mean a really hollow, dead feel at impact. But these sound sweet, and feel solid and responsive. Wide soles can mean a lack of versatility from hard, dry lies, but the Wilson Staff Di7s were just as good nipping shots from range mats as they were hitting balls out of longer grass.

Wilson Staff has struggled over the last couple of years to whet the appetite of mid to high handicappers. But the reasonable price and powerful performance of these could be right up the street of club golfers.

Wilson claim these are the longest, most-forgiving irons they has ever made.

Wilson Staff Irons User Reviews

  • 3 out of 5 Easy to hit but somethings a bit suspicious!

    By swilson-101

Theses irons are so easy to hit it's unbelievable, smallish head but gives loads of confidence. They are very pleasing to the eye to look down on aswell. However, you may be wondering how a set of irons could increase your distance. Easy, they cheat (in a fashion). The Di7 6 iron which went as far as your old 5 iron is actually going the same distance. What? The clubs are stronger than what irons uasually are. For example the pitching wedge is around 42*. Slightly stronger than your average 9 iron. In my opinion, if you want clubs that you are guarateed to hit everytime, buy these. But please consider other brands. I'm not saying i don't like these clubs because i rarely miss a green but when i found out they were stronger i felt like i'd been conned out of £300. If i wanted to be sure i was hitting it thurther i'd consider others brands now.

I have few things to say. You want distance, buy these. If you want accuracy, buy these. They are just great.

Got fitted for a set of irons down american golf. In the end the Di7's were good for me but i never beleived that a new set could have such an impact on my game, these are sooooooooo forgiving, I also got the GFybrid, a brilliantr set for a beginner like me used to car boot sale clubs before that were no clubs same make or younger than my Dad!!!!!!!! BUY THESE NOW

  • 5 out of 5 Fantastic clubs!

I've only been playing for eight months but I wanted to get an upgrade from my second-hand Wilson GE 1200s. These seemeed to fit the bill for my handicap (28+) and my wallet. I can say I am very pleased with them. They go about 20 yards further than my old set, are straight and are almost impossible to mis-hit. As they are graphite shafts they don't leave me with a sore neck and are much easier to control. They are really goofd for the short game too. I holed a bump and run shot yesterday with the 7 and the feel of the wedges is great. I've already shved 7 shots off my score and I feel much more confident with these clubs in my bag.

  • 5 out of 5 Quality clubs at a bargain price

    By jonnymustard

had these for 5 months and I cant praise them enough it is almost impossible to mishit them. Even the PW and SW which are normally poor in sets are superb (I dropped my Mizuno PW to use the Wilson club). For the price you can pick these up you are getting premium improvement clubs for bargain basement pricing.

  • 5 out of 5 great irons

    By coys

i have just recently purchased these irons . they are wonderful...easy to hit long and straight...would recommend getting the gap wedge as well though as the wedge is 43 and sw is 55. Tried many sets before going for these. the only other that was as good is the new cobra fp..but delighted with the performance and quality of these clubs.

  • 4 out of 5 Saved me money and shots!

When I went to try out some new iorns I had it in my head that I was going to spend quite a bit more cash on the Ping G5's but the fitter suggested I try the Wilson Di7's and they just clicked. I was playing with some pretty dire clubs before but I can't tell you how different these feel. Excellent feel of the club face and I'm certainly more consistend. Not sure if the Fat Shaft claims are true but I do seem to be a club longer as the ads suggest. From the clubs I tried... and I tried a few these certainly hold there own with the more expensive makes on the market (well, I prefered them).
