What we say...
When we explained to Craig about Wilson’s innovative “half-graphite half-steel” shaft he thought the concept was brilliant. Then, he duly proceeded to smash his balls bang down the middle of the range! But in contrast Colin was less impressed and said he really couldn’t get his head around the shaft idea and that the look of it put him off at address. Get over the slightly strange lookof the club and these will help you improve your scores.

Wilson Staff D-FY Irons were new for 2010. A revolutionary iron and hybrid combination set featuring a half graphite and half steel shaft that is ideal for higher handicappers looking to improve distance while maintaining accuracy. The set comprises a 19.5 and 24 degree FYbrid HS, plus super-wide sole mid-irons and perimeter-weighted cavity-back short irons.
Integrated Set Design: This fully-integrated 8-piece set delivers seamless performance with built-in distance gapping. The 19.5 FY and 4-hybrid bring long-range accuracy and flexibility. Hollow 5-iron and 6-iron utilize an easy-to-hit ultra wide sole design. Tradiitonal cavity back designs in the 7-iron through PW provide maximum forgiveness and distance control.
Half-and-Half Shaft: A proprietary co-curing process fuses a graphite section with a steel section into a single high performance shaft that out performs its steel and graphite counterparts in distinct areas. For the low-to-mid swing speed player, this patent-pending half and half shaft adds clubhead speeds and overall distance without sacrificing the pinpoint accuracy expected from steel.
The Wilson Staff D-FY Irons are available in graphite at a cost of £549.
