What we say...
Wilson Staff Ci9 Irons were new for 2010. The third generation of irons from the award-winning Ci range combine maximum playability with classic looks and workability.
A one-piece soft response insert extends across the entire iron cavity to create more feel, while a hidden rear cavity Exoskeleton improves weight distribution for a higher MOI and more stability.
Offering "player's club" looks in a midsize head, the Ci9 is a great choice for better players looking for classic design and workability, as well as for improving players looking for stability and playability.
Cavity back, steel shaft (£379), graphite shaft (£449), gents, LH, RH.
4i-PW.

I tried the Ci9 and the Ci11 irons yesterday in a local superstore and was INITIALLY blown away by their performance... The 7 iron in each set gave me 175-185 yards including roll on their simulator, I was so impressed that I nearly handed over the cash for them there and then. But having seen such stats before with the Macgregor NVG2 irons on simulators and been caught before, I went home to check on the loft & lie specs, would you believe it was a case of "smoke & mirrors" What Wilson have cunningly done is decrease the loft on each iron, effectively turning what would be a 6 iron in my set of Macgregor 1025cm irons into a 7 in their set. Having said this, they are a very nice set of clubs, but IF I went ahead and bought a set it would leave a gap between my Lob/Sand/Gap wedge set and the PW in the the Wilsons.... an dangerous space in the scoring clubs. THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU TAKE THE PLUNGE.
