What we say...
The ‘control’ side of things is taken care of by the C100s, which sit in the middle of Wilson’s new range.
Wilson says that the C100s provide distance and workability, the former coming primarily from a thinner face made from a stronger stainless steel. It features ‘exoskeleton’ technology, accounting for a third of the head’s mass, which places weight at the edges for added forgiveness.
Details: available now, £449 steel, £549 graphite.

After custom fitting, I bought the C100s last week and played with them for the first time on Sunday. I play around 5/6 times a year. I am not a member of any club. When I play I tend to be around 23 handicap. Have never had custom fit clubs before. Previously using Callaway Big Bertha irons. On Sunday I shot an 8 over par round. Unbelievable. My life-time best. Was it the psychological effect of new clubs? Perhaps to some degree. Probably helped by playing with more reserve - not wanting to over-strike, easing myself into the new clubs. But my par 3 iron shots were true, stopping dead on the green. The pitching was controlled. Looking forward to playing more.
