What we say...
TaylorMade’s new Tour Quality irons may look a little bit different, but this certainly didn’t put our guys off. The black on the back of the head is a step away from the norm, but when you put the club behind the ball it screams “hit me”! Dave’s dispersion stats were sensational with the R9 TP – just 1.7 yards – while Chris’ statistics also handed it a 5/5. Our pro’s performance was excellent, his only slight criticism that the head looked a little larger compared to others in the category. This didn’t bother Jon and Dave though, as they both rated it highly in the subjective marks, especially in terms of forgiveness.

A tour-quality version of the game-improving R9 iron, this offers tour-inspired performance in a classic players shape.
Features a velocity control chamber and inverted cone technology in 2-5 irons. The VCC is filled with lightweight foam and a silicone vibration dampener to improve forgiveness in the longer irons.
A progressive change in head construction and face thickness is evident from long irons to short irons with increased face thickness in the shorter irons for more feel and control.
Taylormade R9 TP Irons won a silver award in this years Today's Golfer Irons test, in issue 270.
