TaylorMade r7 XD Game Improvement Irons Review

What we say...

A powerful, forgiving, modern game improvement iron aimed at increasing golf ball speed for extreme distance. The milled titanium face flexes at impact, much like a driver, increasing distance and launch angle. The TaylorMades are excellent all-rounders without particularly excelling in any one area. Our pro Jon Watts liked them so much he’s already placed an order for a set. We’re not quite so keen.

TaylorMade's two-piece design is engineered to launch the ball high, long and straight with exceptional ease, plus mis-hit forgiveness.

Taylormade Irons User Reviews

  • 5 out of 5 HIGHLY RECOMMEND

    By geordiegolf

I would Highly recommend these irons to anyone looking for solid, easy to use, without being TOO CHUNKY, golf irons. The flight is good, and very consistent distances too. Although 1 BIG NEGATIVE is the grips .... Taylormade stock grips are, for me, very Poor, and that was the 1st thing i did when i got my set, cut them off and regrip. Still GREAT clubs though.

I am new to golf, been playing for 8 months or so. I purchased these clubs 2 months ago and have help lower my score by alot. I cannot praise these clubs enough. Thanks TaylorMade!!!

Simply the longest and easiest clubs to hit. Even the dreaded long irons seem to fly straight and true every time. Pricey yes but oh so worth it.

A very nice set of irons. Excellent trajectory sending the ball on with a powerful long flight. However this is also down to the clubs having a strong loft, PW for e.g has a loft of 44 deg. Easy to launch but would recommend a gap wedge between PW & SW.
