Ping stand for making the game playable for the mass market of golfers. Even with this blade-style golf club they still manage to make it look less intimidating than most better player irons.

 The Ping S59 iron has been around for a while, but it is still impressive. It feels solid and comes with masses of custom-fitting options. They are ideal for good players not worried about hitting a harder cast head.

Ping's most popular series of golf irons on the PGA Tour. The ferrule and the polished and brushed finish of the S59 create the classic look.

    These clubs have a short blade-length but even for an 18 handicap i wouldn't ignore these in an iron short-list. They are very solid irons yet i prefer my forged irons as these are lacking in the feel department.However they won't get scratched and get chips like forged clubs.Definately get fitted.
