What we say...
This isn’t just an iron with a strong loft, or a small hybrid. While it will only be available as a 2-iron (18°), tungsten in the heel and toe of the sole help increase the MOI, which should make it a lot more forgiving than a long iron. It also has a wider sole than a typical iron, and more camber, to work through the turf more easily. The Rapture also produces less spin than a similarly-lofted hybrid, for that lower, penetrating flight.
The body is made from 17-4 stainless steel and the face uses 455 stainless steel, which is firmer to produce higher ball speeds.
A flat face, unlike a hybrid’s curved clubface, should make it easier for better players to shape the ball.
