What we say...

The Ping Rapture has to be Ping’s classiest looking iron ever. It’s seductive, alluring and as close as golf gear can come to being sexy!

Our stats suggest the iron didn’t blow away the competition on raw data, but part of this could be due to the fact the club wasn’t quite matched to our test pro. In the amateurs’ hands it turned in a solid display.

The sweetly designed heads sit nicely at address and are versatile from any type of turf. Titanium faces mean 25g of extra weight is located around the club’s perimeter, increasing forgiveness and playability.

Ping sees Rapture irons very much as a statement of technology, and we are inclined to agree.

These wide-soled, perimeter-weighted irons rely on strategic use of titanium, steel and tungsten to create a high-performance, mult-material iron.

Got these clubs last August as an upgrade to a set of G2s. Never liked the G5s really saw them as too chunky and not a deal different performance wise from what I had. The Rapture however is a different animal altogether. The weighting of the head makes these the most forgiving club I've ever hit. The Titanium Insert Face means this club is the furthest I've ever hit. Its also one of the niceset clubs to hit with a soft feel on strikes. When you really catch one you don't even feel the strike the balls just gone. Had to go to Gainsborough in January to have them tweaked a little bit. They do seem to launch the ball quite high, so for strong players and better players you'd probably like me need to have the lofts toned down on all clubs. I had 4 degrees knocked off all clubs to give me a lower penertrating flight. Certainly hitting these I'd only recommend these Irons to people looking for Game Improvement Clubs. I wouldn't advise them on the G5s or the new G10s.

Well worth the money, definatly worth going to Gainsborough to get fitted properly. have given me at least 10-20yds and more accuracy.
