What we say...
The Nike Victory Red full-cavity irons have a deep full cavity, wide sole, thick topline and moderate offset, providing added forgiveness and confidence for the higher-handicap golfer.
The design puts the centre of gravity even further back for higher laucnhing approach shots. Perimeter weighting also increases the MOI for more forgiveness on off-centre hits.
2009 Review
This completed the trilogy of Nike VR irons and like the others, the Full Cavity was impressive. John got great dispersion stats and liked the high launch and great forgiveness. The guys did however struggle for distance – so these are for those seeking accuracy.

2010 Review:
The Full Cavity VR model certainly looked the part, but the guys just didn’t feel that the performance matched up to the aesthetics. Both Colin and Craig struggled with dispersion (both over 20 yards) and none of our threesome thought it
was that forgiving. Colin did say that when he caught it out of the middle it went like a rocket.

The Nike Victory Red Iron is a full cavity iron and has more offset than the Victory Red TW Blades and Victory Red Forged Split Cavity irons.
The Victory Red Irons' deep full cavity, wide sole, thick topline and moderate offset provide added forgiveness and confidence for the average golfer.
Made from 431 Stainless Steel, the Victory Red irons provide a soft, crisp feel (25% softer than the commonly used 17-4 Stainless). The full-cavity clubhead design positions the centre of gravity further back to facilitate high launching, soft landing accurate approach shots.
Perimeter weighting and the undercut cavity distribute more weight to the perimeter of the iron to increase the MOI of the club head and produce more forgiveness on off-centre hits. Thinner face thickness on the top and progressive thickness closer to the bottom move weight closer to the sole and lower the centre of gravity.
The Nike VR Full-Cavity Irons are available in graphite for £550.

Was actually bought a set of these 4-pw as a very unexpected present. the stronger lofts automatically add distance to your game without having to swing harder or faster. I had been out of the game for several years, so was still using relatively old equipment. But in my first stableford competition they helped me to a score of 41 points, everytime you put the clubhead behind the ball at address you just think how good they look and are filled with instant confidence. I actually find these very good for working the ball right to left, left to right, high or low. Very crisp through the ball as well and you instantly know how good a shot is from the feel off the cubface.

I bought these irons 3 weeks ago. At first the stronger lofts where a bit hard to control. After a couple of weeks of practice I have now got the hang of them and came 2nd in a competition today and got my handicap cut by 2 to 22. I am really happy with these. The distance figures aren't as good as other irons that I tried out but the forgiveness is great and they are very playable from all types of lies. The only regret I have is that I am not able to work the ball both ways because the the ball just jumps off the face and goes straight.... Which is good but I do wish that I could work the ball more.. Other than that I would recommend these irons to anyone.. I also got 4 dozen free NIKE ONE TOUR D balls and I haven't switched back to the TAYLORMADE TP REDs I was using before because I like the NIKE balls much better..

Bought these irons in May after having 18 months with my Nike Slingshots, I thought the Slingshots were good but these new Nike VR's are superb. Since buying these from my PGA Pro at my local course(Cleethorpes Golf Club) I've had a relatively good season, knocking 5 shots off my handicap and having some good finishes in the club comps. If you're on the lookout for a new set of irons give these a go, they're easy to hit, forgiving and the distance is very good.
