What we say...
There’s no doubting the sexy classy finish of the Nikes will lure many a decent golfer into parting with hard earned cash to land a set of the CCIs. If this were a contest of looks alone these would have won hands down.
As good as the irons look they didn’t quite inspire us to superb performance. They are a demanding set of irons to hit consistently well. Our pro’s stats show a 25-yard difference between his longest and shortest shots, which is just what a decent player doesn’t need when trying to feed an approach shot into a tight pin.
If you’re a consistent golf player who is not daunted by using a set of demanding irons give these a shot; more than likely you’ll swear by them. But if you don’t consider yourself a pure ballstriker we suggest you give these a wide berth. Just like a good-looking catwalk supermodel they could be a nightmare to live with!

After trying a range of similar iron, was fitted for a setof the CCI's. The do look fantastic granted, but the TG review hit the nail on the head about distances. Even a minor miss can rob 20 yards and random extra 10 yards is even more frustrating when you fly the green into bushes. I'm not saying that they're awful, they do move the ball around nicely if you're striking the ball well enough, but unless you play off of 5 or less. Stear clear. They will make you question your sanity in ever picking them up.

I was so looking forward to these irons after their details were released, but on inital hitting I had the same problem as the pro with inconsistant yardages. 10 minutes later and with my correct spec club fitted and I have never looked back. Yardages perfectly consistant, great feel and looks. Most of all a good level of forgivness on those days you just are not quite there, without having to use a big oversized ugly cavity.
