What we say...
These aren’t Nike’s most forgiving irons – the Slingshots still hold that mantle – but the Nike CCIs are a great attempt at bridging the gap between good-looking clubs and game-improvement irons.
Our test pro really warmed to the irons, and put them up there alongside his favourite looking clubs on test. A composite-filled cavity behind the face frees up weight, which is relocated to more efficient areas of the head.
It also enhances solid feel at impact, as does the 431 stainless steel. We just felt the heads’ sharp edges, although great for picking shots cleanly off turf in summer, were more prone to snagging when used in longer, wet grass.
Combines classic clean lines with cutting edge technology.
