What we say...
The Mizuno MX-25 predecessor (MX-23) was Mizuno’s best-selling iron ever, so these have a lot to live up to! Forged from 10 per cent softer carbon steel than their older brothers, we reckon they might have what it takes to rule the forged game-improvement irons market.
As one of the shortest hitting clubs on test, it’s fair to say the soft-feel forged heads come at a price, and for some this may not be a trade off worth making. But if you’re a sweet swinger and reasonably confident ball striker, the MX-25s are a dream to play with.
The heads look fantastic behind the ball and should inspire confidence within any traditionalist. Their compact design means balls can be picked off any surface without any worry of thinned shots as a wide sole bounces off hard summer turf. This is a superb set of clubs, but if you need even more forgiveness, and want Mizuno, try the MX-900s.

Mizuno Irons User Reviews

I have owned my MX 25's for 5 years now and I love them as much today as ever. My shafts are the Exsar IS2 graphite in regular flex. I usually purchase new irons every 3 - 5 years, and started looking again last fall, but I can't find any other irons that I like better than Mizuno MX 25's. I have tried the new TaylorMade's, Pings, Titleist, Callaway's, Bridgestones, Cleveland's, and the Mizuno JPX 825 Pro's and I just keep comng back to my MX 25's. I have owned Pings, Titleist, Lynx, Tommy Armour, Wilson's, Cobra's, & TaylorMade's and I have enjoyed playing them all, but by far the Mizuno MX 25's have been my favorite. I tend to hit them about a club shorter, but the accuracy, and the feel really makes up for the distance. They are very consistent, get the ball up in the air, quickly & easily, and they look great too. I like them so well, I purchased another set to have should something happen to my 1st set.

I have just upgraded my irons from the forgiving MX-17 to the MX-25. Took me a while to get used to them but with a stiffer shaft and the forged feel i am hitting these irons sweet now. Not the longest iron but pin point accurate. Love the address and feel of these irons.

I was previously using Titliest Dci Irons, until some scally stole them out of my shed. I was heart broken thinking how used to them I had become. I replaced them with the Mizuno Mx 25's and feel I should write a review. These Irons are unbelievable!, they feel great at impact, sound great at impact, and I must disagree with the information on these saying you lose distance I feel I am hitting further with them. Been playing with them over a year now my handicap has dropped by 5. They really are a consistent Iron and would recommend to anyone.

Have used for the last year and dropped 2 strokes on the handicap, 14 to 12. Good control and feel especially on the wedges. I like the graduation of cavity as the iron get longer, gives the best of both worlds

Superb irons with great feel , their consistency being so easy to hit inspires confidence. Played off 14 with my old blades had these new irons 8 months now down to 10 and last month won our Captain's day - Highly recommended.

Previous clubs callaway fusions. You cant go wrong with these, distance thing is a myth, do yourself a favour and try them. Had them 3 months now, great feel, excellent ball flight and control.

Length isn't really important when it comes to choosing irons, so if you're prepared to sacrifice a few yards in order to gain a huge amount of accuracy and control, these irons are up their with the very best. Well done Mizuno

Before I bought the mx25 irons 3 weeks ago I thought nothing could beat titleist - I was wrong. Better flight, control and 10 yards longer than any of my previous sets, I could not be happier - get a set now.

played with these for 2 months now, lighter head took a bit of getting use to,but wow what a set.Draw and fade the ball with ease, haven`t found the the shortness issues that the pro found in the tests, he couldnt have been hitting them right!

Just orderd these and part ex'd my callaway x-14's that i bought second hand.My first set of new irons so i've put some effort into my choice. I've not read a bad review of any mizuno product so I had to give them a try. I have a high handicap but i'm a resonably good ball striker. Had a hit down the range and these felt like a dream. I tried a few other sets but nothing felt as good. Not the longest hitting iron i tried but i'll put up with that for the feeling. I haven't had them long enough to comment on how much you need to take care of them. Can't wait to put them through some good hard rounds though.

Bought these a couple of weeks ago after upgrading from the mx17's, I wanted something that gave me feedback but at the same time were still forgiving, these fellas offer both. I now know when ive hit a bad shot but at the same time the forgiveness kicks in. They are very very soft and are a great looking iron, the only downside is the lack of SW however the mpr wedge i invested in has fitted into the set fine. I find the grooves very easy to clean during a round and I strongly recommend you invest in some decent delux headcovers (not the rubber ones though as they do not let water out and can rust your irons)

I've had my Mizuno MX25's for about a month now. I am a mid handicapper who usually tries, in vain, to sort out my golf by changing clubs frequently & consequently have tried many of the so called "game improvement" irons. Believe me, in my opinion these are the softest feeling, most satisfying & good looking irons I have ever owned & the subtle progressive cavity, makes the shorter irons really adaptable around the greens. The only down side is that because they are forged, you need to look after them, i.e. head covers and regular cleaning.
