What we say...
Luke Donald might well be the best iron player on the planet at the moment and Mizuno have used every last drop of his expertise in designing the new MP-63 irons.
They have been created with extensive input from the Englishman and are designed to improve on the classic MP-62, the most successful Tour iron in Mizuno’s history.
The key to the MP-63 is the diamond-muscle design in the rear of the club, which is said to add incremental toe-heel weighting and therefore make it more forgiving than the MP-62 without altering the head size. The set features a flow-cavity design, which means the cavities get shallower as the irons get shorter for more forgiveness in the long irons. The sole of the club has been designed to be slightly thicker than the MP-62 but a 360° grind round the head perimeter makes it play narrower so better players can nip the ball off tight lies.
