What we say...
A top performer in our test, the MT Pro range only just missed out on an award but scored highly due to its pleasing aesthetics. Extra weight in the head produced powerful shots from the centre of the face, but off-centre hits did not seem quite as forgiving as some other clubs, which makes this an ideal choice for better golfers. These are top-quality forged clubs with a solid feel and responsive sound feedback. The Pro-M are a classic muscleback and the Pro-C have a cavity back – these can be blended as desired to create your ideal set.
The MacGregor MT PRO M Iron is a classic muscle back, which is designed for the serious golfer whose value for forged irons reigns supreme. The PRO-M iron's compact profile and flatter sole maximise a player's ability to shape shots.
The strategically positioned, precision CNC milled triangular weighting behind the impact zone optimises trajectory, while the CNC flat milled faces and square grooves deliver a consistent spin rate and launch angle for greater shot control.
The heads are forged from soft 1025 carbon steel while the signature bright-satin chrome finish reduces glare and provides excellent durability. These Tour-inspired muscle backs have the look and feel for ideal performance.
The MT PRO M irons come fitted as standard with the new USPGA Tour favourite shaft – the KBS Tour, which comes in A,R,S and X flex options. To complete the perfect set-up a special Lamkin MacGregor Crossline is fitted and comes in custom sizing. Also available in Soft Gun Metal finish.
MT PRO M and MT PRO C models can be combined as desired to create a combo set of cavity back long irons and muscle back short irons.
