What we say...
Titliest sister brand Cobra has has thrown a bomb into the game improvement iron market this week with the launch of the new Cobra UFi irons.
The highly forgiving new Cobra UFI irons set has been designed to deliver a combination of high MOI and low centre of gravity to help beginners and game improvers hit more powerful and more accurate iron shots.
The new Cobra UFi are the first irons to use a metal matrix face design. Although the Metal Matrix face is ultra-lightweight, the hardness is similar to that of a forging. It means that you get the feel of a forged golf club but with the playability of a game improvement iron.
The low CG in the new Cobra UFi irons allows for stronger lofts and greater distance while maintaining high trajectory. Lower blade heights in the long and mid irons also contribute to lower CG helping to get the ball up easier in the long and mid irons. The golf clubs are also more offset in the long irons to promote squaring of the head at impact and increase launch angle.
Available in the shops from February, the new UFi has a recommended retail price of £699 in graphite (5-SW) and £600 in steel (5-SW).
The Cobra UFi Irons set is designed for players looking for the ultimate in forgiveness, distance and feel.
By far Cobra’s most technologically advanced irons, UFi Irons stand for Ultimate Forgiveness. Designed via multi-material integration, these irons feature an exclusive Metal Matrix face insert, patented polymer topline, high-density Tungsten heel-toe weighting and steel alloy body.
Combined, these technologies deliver Cobra’s highest MoI and lowest CG ever. UFi is, indeed, the Ultimate Forgiveness iron.
