What we say...

FP irons are designed to combine Cobra’s famous forgiveness with a balance of feel and playability. These are a particularly good looking set of golf clubs in this category and we feel they’re suited to slightly better players than Cobra’s S9 model, due to their reduced amount of offset and a classic-looking cavity back design. Our pro felt these were similar to the Cleveland CG Gold irons visually and almost as good in terms of performance, making these a solid choice.

  • 4 out of 5 Just starting out - King Cobra FP irons

I have just started out golfing on a more serious level (meaning playing more than 4 times a year) I was looking for a club that was forgiving and had an element of style to it - Ian Poulter proved to be a good draw, aswell as my mother using Cobras also and she was spoke highly of them. I have now had the clubs for over a month and have played about 10 rounds of golf and can safely say my confidence has improved and I now look forward to my iron shots on and off the fairway as I enjoy the constant connection and distance I get (Though at times I do over hit). I have also begun to play steadier and better rounds so with any luck I can bring my handicap down a point or two this summer!

I have owned these irons for about 6 months now and must admit they are good. I paid 342 pounds for the steel shafted option which come with regular flex Nippon 1030 shafts and Golf Pride tour velvet grips.I have 4-SW with the optional gap wedge included. I tried numerous iron sets in the sub 400 pound bracket at a local demo day and chose these because they felt great when I struck the ball and they were extremely consistent with regards to ball flight and distance.Having owned them now for a while I have greatly improved my distances and accuracy compared to my old clubs.I am a high handicapper and had looked at sets with wider soles and deeper cavity backs, but found that the FPs were just as easy to hit as the others but felt so much better when I struck the ball.I would strongly reccomend giving them a go. (Interestingly enough my girlfriend who also plays was at the same demo day but a few bays down on the driving range and having been totally oblivious to what i was doing had also selected the FPs for herself in ladies guise!)
