What we say...

Cleveland CG7 irons offer game-improving forgiveness without being super chunky – while the Tour versions are beautifully sleek but not intimidating.

2009 Review

The Cleveland CG7 irons are more friendly versions of the Tour model which starred in the ‘Better Player’ section. They feature a six per cent higher MOI than traditional irons and Richard certainly found them easy to launch and powerful while John got incredible dispersion stats.

The Cleveland CG7 irons are designed for golfers of all abilities seeking distance and forgiveness.

They feature 360° Gelback technology which is a one-piece injection-moulded lightweight visco-elastic insert that covers the entire perimeter of the cavity and the base of the head. This provides vibration dampening across the entire face for superior feel, even on off center hits.

Dynamic microcavity technology (MCT) in the CG7 head sees progressively sized microcavities decrease in length from the long irons to the short irons to optimize the CG location for each head.  MCT allows movement of discretionary weight lower and deeper for increased distance, ball speed and accuracy.

The CG7 irons feature a six per cent higher MOI than traditional irons for increased forgiveness on off center hits thanks to heel and toe muscle weighting while there is a lower and deeper centre of gravity for a higher launch angle and more distance.

I've had a set of these for about 6 weeks now and they are fantastic. Before I bought I tried King Cobra SZ, Tayor Made Burner and Yonnex VMX. These clubs are so forgiving and hit the ball further. Paced out a 7 iron and hit this between 156 and 161 yards. My Pro uses Cleveland irons so that was another endorsement and the offer they have is amazing. If you buy a set now you have until 2011 to hand them back and receive the replacement model FREE. Yes FREE it's no catch I read all the small print, what an offer!!!. This offer though was not a factor for buying them, although it is a benefit. I bought these purely on their performance NOW, not what the replacement model will be. In fact the replacement is gonna have to be some club to tempt me to the FREE swap. I love them. The position at address is confidence inspiring with a thicker top line. The weight and fee is amazing.
