Callaway X-18 Game Improvement Irons Review

What we say...

Callaway have a long association with making big, forgiving irons with a cumbersome appearance – and the X18s don’t buck this trend. The X18s are a decent set of game improvement irons, but it’s difficult to recommend them over past incarnations such as the X14 and X16s.

They do what you’d expect, but ultimately they’re not very different, and just a little disappointing.

RELATED: Golf irons

Callaway X18s are more of a traditional head shape and size and come with a high polished finish.

I was a Ping man for over 12 years. 2 sets of irons and woods and feeling fine with my clubs. Then i tried a set of x-18, loved them, bought them, and halved my h/cap to 6 in 12 months. They are forgiving, look great and hit the ball a long, long way.
