What we say...
There was fear in Jon’s eyes when it came to hitting this set. They are as silky as anything looks wise but just looked so small! Happily our man reported excellent feel and decent forgiveness while Tom was also pleasantly suprised by their ease of use.

2010 Review:
Dave looked petrified as he picked these up – but said the small head and anorexic topline actually helped to focus him. Jon was pleasantly surprised with his dispersion stats – just 8.7 yards. Chris labelled them outstanding but did question how many people would spend this much money on a set of irons these days
The Callaway X-Prototype Irons are smaller than your average golf clubs but are so much more forgiving than your average set of irons!

Bought a set of these in October 2010. I Play off 9 and decided to go for blades to make me focus on pure ball striking. I have to admit to doubts about the wisdom of going from Callaway X12s to clubs that resemble a Razor blade viewed from a Crane when you look down on them, but after a couple of visits to the driving range and a few rounds I started to hit them well. Its now January 2011 and i can not imagine playing with anything else. The feel, tragectory, distance and shape of the shots these clubs allow you to play are amazing. They certainly make you focus on hitting pure shots which has got to be a good thing for your long term handicap aspirations. I would recommend them to mid to low handicappers who want amazing feel combined with maximum playability.
