Yonex Cyberstar VM-1 Fairway Wood Review

Monty’s played a big part in helping Yonex to craft this fairway wood, and its sleek design is clearly suited to the Tour pros’ eyes. The clubhead is plain, with no alignment aid, and the small size makes it easy to manoeuvre and shape shots, and it cuts through dodgy lies with ease. A small tungsten weight in the sole balances the clubhead and lowers the centre of gravity, giving a nice high ball flight, while the forged steel face gives a really responsive feel. The only thing we’re not sure about is the dark blue finish, which looks a bit strange against the stark grey shaft.
