What we say...
This power-packed model flew a little too high for some – although some golfers will love that. It also split our testers, which held it back a bit.
Pro says: Really cool-looking, well-made club that’s easy to hit and launch high in the sky.
Golfers seeking the best fairway wood performance money can buy will get it in the TaylorMade r7 CGB MAX fairway. Incredibly forgiving and easy to launch high and long, it is also adjustable to promote increased distance and accuracy.
- Movable Weight Technology with three weights promotes up to 22 yards trajectory change from side to side. This broad range of movement allows more players to improve accuracy and distance.
- The triangular shaped head allows the centre of gravity to be placed amazingly far back from the club face making it incredibly easy to launch the ball high and long.
- The large titanium club head provides an exceptionally high moment of inertia making the club tremendously stable and easy to hit.
- SuperFast Technology allows an extremely light 45 gram TaylorMade RE*AX graphite shaft and overall light club weight. This promotes a faster swing speed for added distance.

I Purchased this a few weeks ago (£189),it goes straight every time which is unusual for me,the club looks really nice and has a quality feel. I thought it was over priced to start but after playing good shots one after the other i feel it was worth the extra. The only draw back is I have a ping G5 3 wood and now my new 5 wood goes further, maybe I'll by the 3 wood aswell (just don't tell the wife).
