We’re all used to seeing square heads now and while we might not all be big fans – especially in fairway woods – they really do assist forgiveness due to a higher MOI.

If you’re in need of a club to get the ball up and keep it straight, then look no further.

Not only did the consistently-performing Sumo² group shots tighter than any other we tested but it was the best all-round club for our highest handicapper. He also felt the wide, square sole really helped his ball-striking.

Pro says: The large square head is so easy to hit and it creates extra backspin which will help a lot of club golfers.
